Nothing new on the site today, but a lot going on.

In the news:

  • The big, statewide story is the situation on Millbury Ave. Reports from across the media spectrum describe a crime scene with one individual dead and another injured; the latter, who allegedly called 911, was later arrested at the hospital in connection to this incident. Worcester County District Attorney Joseph D. Early, Jr. is prosecuting the case, and Chief Brian Lewos is running point locally, but details are scarce as of time of writing. All we know is that the authorities are viewing this as an isolated incident. We'll have more on this as time progresses. (NECN, NBC Boston, Telegram & Gazette)
  • MassLive ran a story about Worcester's doughnut market, highlighting a few shops. Included in their list? Rocco's Doughnut Company, which has multiple locations including a new recent expansion into northern Worcester. (MassLive)
  • Greater Good Brewing Company's Imperial Fest was held a couple weeks back; Millbury's Penny Pinchers Brewing Company narrowly lost a first place nod. (Worcester Magazine)
  • In sports, Millbury High Football remained undefeated in a win against Northbridge (T&G), Boys' Soccer defeated Assabet Valley (T&G), and Girls' Soccer lost to Tahanto (T&G)
